Dragoon Base

Connecting the Troopers of Today with the Veterans of Yesterday.

Alright all you 19D's here is a chance to name/design what you consider the ideal scout vehicle. Remember this is subjective/highly personal, there are no right or wrong ideas just the freedom to name what you want and why.

Check out the new German PUMA IFV and FENEK FISTV.
Since the tried and true M113 seems a popular choice, how about an updated version of one  of these:  1. The M113 1/2  Lynx Recon Vehicle by FMC.  Lower than the M113, with 4 road wheels and rear engine; once used by Canada and the Netherlands.  2. In Viet-Nam the Australians had a Fire Support Vehicle (FSV), essentially a M113 with a Saladian armored car turret (76mm) mounted on it. I understand this was replaced their Medium Recon Vehicle (MRV) which used a Scorpion turret, also 76mm.  Maybe a reader has seen some of these vehicles in the field and can comment on them.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
