Hi Craig - no I was never stationed with the 3rd Sq.at Pond Bks. I was with the 1st Sq on the rock. The Army did nothing to prepare returning any of the Kasernes to the Germans in 90s  just handed Them the keys and walked off. I think the last one to close was in 2013, when the wall came down it put us out l of a job. See photos - Chief
