Too much fun, to many women, too much booze. What am I saying?? I spent over 5 years in Amberg and loved every minute of it (what little I remember). Hey Robb- Do you remember Bob Evans?

Hey all, figure what the howdy, might as well join this group and gotta go to Ft. Polk..although it was 3/6th Inf...was there a month and got my welcome packet for 1st/40th armor....oh well I was "above the rest"....be good

That picture of the barracks looks like K and L troop if so that would be the tank track park behind it and the motor pool to the left rear.

Ah yes Amberg and Pond Barracks home sweet home, couldnt wait to get out of there .......... it really is true youth is wasted on the young, I didnt know how good I had it.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
