Tony,
I got to Amberg in Fall of '80, Herb Koeinigsbauer was the SCO (think Landry was the RXO then) andTom Konitzer followed him in summer of '81(?) -

LIke to take this chance to tell all Toujours Pret and long live the Cav. I am posting today as a new member. I was at pond barracks from 77-80 and kep in touch with a couple of my buddies. One in Ohio and one in Indiana. I also have a question. Does anyone know who was the CO of 3rd squadron before and after Landry? Anyone that can help would be great.

How right you are Howard Tritt! I remember the entire L-Troop taking a trip to Spain...thats all I remember even though we spent a week there!! I would volunteer for 3 years of gate guard for one week back in Amberg, in 1988 of course!

Too much fun, to many women, too much booze. What am I saying?? I spent over 5 years in Amberg and loved every minute of it (what little I remember). Hey Robb- Do you remember Bob Evans?

That picture of the barracks looks like K and L troop if so that would be the tank track park behind it and the motor pool to the left rear.
