I know there were a few Disco's and bars but for the life of me I can't remember the names. The Silver Bar is the the only one and I DID NOT GO TO THAT ONE.

Happy Rock became drug infested...maybe it already was, I'm not sure, but it was eventually put off limits for awhile when I moved to Vilseck. Melodies was a blast as well! I still have a Melodies token come to think of it. It brings a smile to my face every time I see it:-)

Does anyone remember Mike's Beir House across from the La Premier ?

I think CSM Chittick, he was married to a German, retired in Amberg, believe they had a house right off the kaserne and he worked in the education office after he retired

For those who want to check out what's going on in downtown Amberg, here's a couple of livecam views of the Marktplatz:

They refresh themselves every minute. Enjoy!

The first bar I was taken to was The Rock Cafe. After having a few there, we would all move to Melodies.

That was the correct routine!! Get primed at Harmonies and then move to MC's!!!!!! Of course there was always follow on objectives, but this was the routine to get started:-)

I think my initiation started at Harmonies and ended at MC's. It's all sort of foggy now. LOL I do remember getting a lesson the different types of weissen, and of course the rice in the beir was a treat to watch.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
