Hi you al Hope al have a New Year full of health. I been in the Rock from 1968thru 1970 almost My days were in the Border and It was from 10 to 15 degrees below zero . 6 or 7 feet of snow. Danm I live in a tropical Island name Puerto Rico ts a paradise right now we have 85 degres a full sun and beautiful beachs.

Winter in tent city at Graf is something you never forget !!

That is a fact Jeffry. I would do it again if I could go back and start over. I would even be less of an ass toward Lt. Becker. 

He grew up quickly, learned to trust his crew and made a career Officer. We became friends, eventually.

I remember a winter night in early 1963, on guard duty at the vehicle parking area. The wind was blowing some 20 miles an hour, and the temp was about 20 below. Cold!? Geez.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
