Guess I just missed you, Doc Dodge. I was at Camp Pitman (with C Troop) when you got to the Rock in January and left there for home in February, so though our times there slightly overlapped, we never crossed paths.

Peter ,
Thank you for sharing this ! I want to go back there before I go to Fiddlers green. Of 4 children I have my twins left at home they are 16. Once they are off to college I would like to my wife over there and kinda walk down memory lane. That place made such a impression on me. The Calvary did also . I think the Gaushaus I lived in Benk is not anymore. I kinda followed it and I think the son sold it. Maybe I am wrong. Does anyone know? Frau Shueller was really good to me. Last I heard her health was failing and I am guessing she is gone.

Again thank you for sharing !

Hey Troopers, I need a little help remembering a date from Graf. There was an Fatal accident involving a HEMTT Cargo from a Field Artillery unit and one of our Regiments M1's . Col Steele was in command at that time so it would have been between May 87 - Aug 89. The Combat Ground Safety Team at Ft Rucker is trying to locate a copy of the accident report for me. If anyone can help to narrow in on the date please email me or call. email me at:   llleary@gmail.com   or call   719-494-4344. Thank you, Lonny L. Leary

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
