Dave, good to hear from you, yes I,ve been to the Hofbrau Hasus in Columbus,  I never thought about they might have a carry out.  My son lives up there and I'll have him check.  I don't drive that much anymore. Thankd tom

Hey Tom, I was looking at German places in your area, and from the menu I would venture a guess that it would be worth the drive to eat/drink at the Hofbrauhaus Columbus. Sure wish they delivered!

Tom ,

Out west here we have these package bier and wine and liquor stores they are called BevMo and another one called Total wines and more. They have a very good German collection as well of many other very good biers from several countries, and they come in 1/2 litre bottles just how we used to get them. See if you can find your version of that kind of store in a city close to you. Good luck and happy hunting. You might also contact your local liquor store and have them ask their bier distributor to help out, I am able to get some decent imported German bier from my local liquor store here in Sacramento.

I'm still trying to locate those serving 1/2 ACR at Christensen Barracks in Binlach, Germany between 1968 - 1973.  Thanks for your help. I served as HQ Troop XO, S-1 and S-3 staff during my June 1969 - June 1972 tour. Cpt. Steve Oliver

There was an old cement foundation for a shed that had burnt down right next to the parking lot by HHT barracks. One Friday afternoon, before catching the  train to Nurnberg, a bunch of guys picked up some officer's car and carried to the middle of the foundation. It couldn't be driven out, so it sat there until Monday morning formation when everybody had to move it to the parking lot.
