As for me lived in Munchberg Germany after the Rock up until 1997.  Then we moved back here to the USA in the state of OHIO.  I work part time as a Fire Arms Salesman, for the sporting goods store…Continue

Hi troopers of D company. Not much action going on here at our site - so please try the old-timers site,  a lot of great events being told,  But here's a strange one in my time we also had tanks from D company get stuck in that same swamp, matter-of-fact in my days of recovering stuck vehicles there was a certain time of the year you try to avoid crossing Herman the German open fields, something about fertilizing them with the honey wagon. when I arrived on the rock in 1972 and assume the duties of second platoon Sgt. D24 was also my tank. Dragoon for life - Chief

I know Jim! Really quiet! Old timers have a coffee clutch thing otherwise not much shaking. I check in once in awhile to see if anyone I served with is here. I also visit a website for the Big Red One which was my state side tour of duty. I like soldiers ! Usually well grounded and common sense. Tojours Pret Brother!

I came back to Minnesota in 1983. Did not know what to do. Drove truck for a year and did not like it in the winter. Went to work in a factory and my boss got me interested in machining. Went to school for it on the old gi Bill. 30 years later I still enjoy it, but, I am ready to retire soon. I am Tool maker / CNC programmer for a small employee owned company. Happily married, 4 Kids. Typical boring white male.
I love it!

I have a picture of my tank stuck in the mud also, but, not that deep.
I have to have my kids help scan my pictures from the Rock and get
some of them on the base. Some of them not. Do not want to incriminate myself of any of Dragoon brothers.

2d DRAGOONS

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
