Charles, may have been a 5 ton, been so many years now. And no way I can remember the driver, pretty sure he must have come from HQ Plt.
Jack, how the hell do you remember all that shit? LOL I had a hard enough time remembering the event let alone the bands. Dont know what made it pop into my mind tonight.
Jerry, remember that time there was a big outdoor concert somewhere near Rotz and we all rode up there in the back of a duece and a half that was being used to make daily supply runs to the camps? We knew the driver and he agreed to stop somewhere off post to pick us all up and again to bring us back, I think Hymie, Lusher and a few others went with us too. I even brought Vickie along, she passed out during the afternoon and one of the other girls that made the trip with us went and found her in the aid tent. I remember it being hot as hell, for Germany anyway, LOL.
Denny, I talked to my son and he told me that the army has gone back to the baseball caps. Berets are for dress uniform only. He said that they were major complaints with the soldiers about the berets. No one like them. They said that it didn't keep the sun out of their eyes and when it rained the rain got in their face. I told him that the army today is a bunch of wuzzys.Pampered to much LOLOL

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
