Correction to previous posting I must of been having a senior moment I meant to say George Blanda  Fred was our great wide receiver.

I did not know that about Stabler either, my earliest memories of the Raiders are, I remember when Stabler was the ball holder for Fred Biletnikoff when he kicked the extra point, and Daryle  lamonica was the QB. Eventually Stabler got the QB job and they made Fred retire he wanted to keep playing if I remember correctly. I must of been about 9 or ten years old

Ha-ha, nice try. You can keep Kraperneck, thank you.

Was just reading a little about Ken Stabler. Didn't know that he played for a year here in Washington with the Spokane Shockers of the CFL before playing for the Raiders. I guess Spokane was a farm team for the Raiders 1968-69.

They said that Jim Plunkett was all used up when the Raiders got him back in the day, but he went on to have some of his best years playing with them. The Raiders seem to be able to get more out of players that others think are used up I guess we will see what he has left. Maybe you will get that 6th or 7th pick along with Kaepernick. But I hope nobody signs Kaepernick he does not deserve to be in the NFL. IMHO. http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/san-francisco-49ers-colin-kaeper...

I think it is already a done deal. Just need to figure out what Seattle gets out of the deal, since he still owes us a year. Word is since he is old, broken, and coming out of retirement, we might only get a 6th or 7th round pick out of the deal.

Rumor going around is that Marshawn Lynch is going to become a Raider?

Thanks Ronny. Yup, Bing Crosby was a local boy.

Gonzaga; Named for the Jesuit saint Aloysius Gonzaga. Bing Crosby attended Gonzaga but didn't graduate. Small school ( 7,200 students ).

Fun Fact: Has two grads. in Pro-Football Hall of Fame. Gave up football in 1941.

Hats off to them..... sure do a lot with what they have.

When founded in 1895 had a connection with Native Americans.

When you get to final 8 they are no bad teams. Some advance and some go home and the last two standing play for the GOLD BALL in the final. I love this game.
