Dave, the VA has an ophthalmologist after you see the optometrist.  Floaters are very common, I've had them for years.  They worry when the floaters cause Flashes.  That's when you have a problem.  Other wise don't try to grab the floaters .  They are not in front of your eyes they are in back of your eyes.

Harry you are right on about the optometrist  seeing other ailments through the eyes. I have a former girlfriend that found out she had Multiple sclerosis after she had her eyes examined.

I guess so Harry. They dilated my pupils and did all kinds of stuff.

Thanks Mike. Glad to hear you are healing well. Going to make the reunion?

Just a few months ago I got new glasses.

Floaters are fairly common, especially when you get to be our age.  The spiderwebs are new to me, but often eye exams will see something in the eye that reflects on other parts of the body.  When was your last eye exam?

Yup. I've had one floater for several weeks, then all of a sudden yesterday morning I had a crap load of 'em and they are bugging the hell out of me.
