Wayne,

The reunion was great. Sure wish you cold have been there. Several guys in the over-80 group and a couple pushing 100. Vito Spadafino here is 96.

Hello TROOPERS, wishing all a good day and the best of health to all.  All fine down here, they came yesterday and installed my new phone for me, being my hearing is bad they installed me a phone that shows the text of what the other person is saying.  Now I'll have to learn this new phone, to use it. Called my daughter , works like a charm.  What they have come up with now days.  The government is paying for it under the disability act.

Hope all that made the reunion had a good time, sure would have loved to have been there with everyone.

Friday Night Fights: Each and every Friday night brought to your screen the " Gillette Cavalcade Of Sports ).

Watched all the great fighters in the middle-class and they had some very good ones. I would make a list but I'm not sure of the spelling.

Boxing died when pay-pre-view came to be. A few made a lot of money but for the most part the fans looked elsewhere. Think both pro & collage sports. Those were the days.

The movie looks like it might cause a lump or 2 in the throat.

Ernie, you old son of a gun, how in blazes are you? I figured you were still in Fogeytown burying your feet in the sand. I'll keep my eye on this part of the state if you do likewise up yonder.
I worked in Bayonne for a short time when I was doing homecare. I guess I was too young to realize how crowded things are up there. Chuck Wepner reminds me of the days that boxing matches were shown live on one of the 3 or 4 channels available at the time. I think Gillette sponsored the matches. Or Reingold, Pabst or some such.

Looks like a real good one, Jim. Thanks for the heads-up!

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
