Wayne, I haven't got any idea how many there were, but I know there had to be several in the over 80 group. Gene was there, and Glen Back, Vito Spadafino (WW II), Jim Letton (WW II), Vernon Schmidt (WW II). Many more I didn't get a chance to talk with. There were just so many people there! It was great!!

Did you hear about the Statistician who drown crossing the river?

It was three feet deep on the average.

Old Mathematicians never die. They just lose some of their functions.

wayne, I was one in the 80 group but not by much. i'll be 81 in july. dam I just can't believe where all the years went. the two years in the cav. seemed like forever and when I look back it seems like only yesterday.myself being a drafty I consider myself lucky and proud to have been part of the great second cav.if they need me again I can still carry the six packs but they'll get lighter as I advance.tojours pret.  gene

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
