I remember watching him on TV when I was a kid and thinking how much he reminded me of a bullfrog. Always thought one of his cheeks might blowup sometime.

Harry, I've heard of Preservation Hall but no idea when or where.

Sometime in late 1960's I won a trip to New Orleans.   Eventually made my way around town and came across Preservation Hall.  It was known as the home of jazz.  I would stand outside a big plate glass window and listen to them play.  I do not know if Louis Armstrong was there at the time but he did play there regularly.

Happy Birthday Frank, you are now in my little Brothers area, He lives in Taunton and his daughter resides in Mansfield. Her husband is a E-9 in the Mass. Air-National Guard. My Brother retired from the Air-Force with 25 years service. After retirement, went back to work for them ( Government Insurance for retires) and retired once again. For the last few years he has been a courier picking up papers at banks at night and delivering them to a certain point. Pay is not to much ($ 11.00 ) Bunch of old guys running all over New England in Company cars trying to get by. He says staying active keeps him young.

I never like to work that much. To each his own.

If you are going to stay in the area, and something like that job interest you, I will give you his number.

DAVE AND HARRY, I know I bought many of those items when I was running on patrol, kept the hunger down and the body warm. I use to stop at this one gasthaus and get my snitzel on german farmers rye, I loved the german farmers bread.  All of the comments that have come up has brought back many memories from the past. years gone bye.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
