You started it, Ronny. Since this is the Dragoon Saloon, I figured we needed some whiskey philosophy.

"Tell me what brand of whiskey Grant drinks. I would like to send a barrel of it to my other generals." - Abraham Lincoln

"Never delay kissing a pretty girl or opening a bottle of whiskey." - Ernest Hemingway

"Happiness is having a rare steak, a bottle of whiskey, and a dog to eat the rare steak." - Johnny Carson

"I'm here to kick ass and drink whiskey, and pilgrim, I'm out of whiskey." - John Wayne

"If I cannot drink bourbon and smoke cigars in heaven, than I shall not go." - Mark Twain

"Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough." - Mark Twain

"Always carry a flask of whiskey in case of snakebite. And furthermore, always carry a small snake." - W. C. Fields

"Whiskey has killed more men than bullets, but most men would rather be full of whiskey than bullets." - Winston Churchill

How come there are no knock-knock jokes about America?
Because freedom rings

What quacks, has webbed feet, and betrays his country?

What did one flag say to the other ?
Nothing, it just waved

What haunted King George III ?

I'm a Southerner and we fry EVERY THING. So that boiling hot grease kills all those bad bacteria.

I had raw oysters once. Was never so sick in my entire life. Funny how things like that stay with you. Never again!

Wayne, they just had a story on the news this morning where 6 people were poisoned eating raw oysters at a restaurant here. I'd much rather have that schnitzel plate Harold is waving under our noses!

Top of the day to all, hope all are doing fine. nice weather around here, suppose to rain here next Monday, hope it is nice on Friday, back off to Dallas VA hosp.  sure racking up the miles, 100 miles per trip.  They are racking me on the trips, have not heard the results from all my test yet, they say I have fluid around my heart, making appt. with a cardiologist.  Must be my old body is running down.

Dave, there use to be a place here in Fort Worth that a buddy and I use to hit all the time, they had the best oysters on the half shell.  We use to stop by all the time, have good cold one and put away a few oysters.

my best to all.

Nope, nope, and nope. Definitely no oysters.

Yeah, those Steamers can be a bit on the chewy side. I did dip them in butter though.

One of these days I want to try the raw oysters on the half shell. I do like them fried, smoked and in Oyster Stew.
