Well here we are, another week gone bye.  Hello to all of our brothers and their loved ones.  Been a busy week here, a bunch of trips to VA,  I now have hole in my scalp the size of a silver dollar,  my biopsie come back positive. Have skin cancer, they cut a large part of it out.  This old body is falling apart.   Hope all are in good  health and spirits.  I was thinking it is hard to believe that I started in the military over 70 years ago and have been out now over 48 years.  Golly how time does fly.  Wish I could say, that I could say that this old body was going to allow me to make it to the triple digit age, way things are going I am thinking it is out of sight.  I can't complain, I HAVE HAD A GOOD LIFE.  Plus mother and I w/ill have over 63 years this 1 Oct.

Again I wish all out there the very best in life.

Shannon, those slot machines were once called "one armed bandits" for a reason.

Went and saw Tesla last night at feather river casino they put on a good show and sounded great. They started out here in Sacramento. The casino did not payout very well though. I like playing the wheel of fortune slot machines. I won $250.00 in lake Tahoe a couple of weeks ago during the Sammy Hagar concert. Not so much luck at these smaller Indian casinos in our area. The slots seem to be not as loose as the ones in Nevada.

Tom I have to agree with Harry on those photos being posted on the light poles that is a very cool thing I also would like to see more of that around the Country maybe someone should start a national movement.

Dave I am always well armed when I go out of town. knife fork and spoon. I am always amazed when I go to the Donner memorial. The trees that they cut during that winter, the stumps are still there they are about 4 to 5 feet tall they cut them at snow level. And to think they had to walk to and from that lake over and through those snow filled Sierra mountains , to Sutter's fort in Sacramento for relief. I can not even imagine trying to make that walk.

Gene that is a good story thanks for posting. Paradise is a nice town up in the mountains around 3000' elevation. A very big retirement community. I was surprised my folks chose South Dakota  to move too. a very nice area the Black hills, I have only been there in July and August I think the winter months will be harsh. I told them they better start looking for snowmobiles to get around on this winter. Stay well.

That's a nice thing your town does, Tom. Would be nicer yet if it caught-on in more places.
