Behind every joke is a bit of truth. I didn't realize at the time that MY behind was exposed.

We're living proof, Harry. Two clowns are more appropriate here.

Dave, I was going to put it in the politics group but then I thought 2 clowns were more appropriate here.

SHANK YOU VERY MUCH WEEKEND!!!
Checkers Old Munchen
Checkers Old Munchen would like to say thanks to all our LOCALS for keeping our servers, bartenders, kitchen staff thriving through the long summer months.

Starting TODAY 8/11 until Sunday 8/13 our Famous 2lb. Pork Shank will be just $13 - we are practically giving them away to our favorite customers!!

What better way to say Thanks than with SHANKS Checkers-style???

Just tell your Server or Bartender "Shank you very much!!" to take advantage of the special pricing.

Also, assuming John was drafted, and I'm almost 99% sure he was, they weren't drafting those under age 17.

Thanks Harry. 1952 makes a little more sense.

Hello Wayne. I can't locate John's date of service. Perhaps somewhere in his many pages of dialogues in Oldtimers he may have mentioned something about it.
Dave, his DOB was Feb. 11, 1952. His bio shows he got to 2nd Cav in
1969, making him 17. If he was sent to Germany as his first and only duty station it may help in figuring out his age at entering.
