dave, most of the time i use the va card, but when i'm fumbling thru my wallet for it my fingers stiffen so i just show them the 'v' on the drivers licence.

easier sometimes

Thanks Jim. I've got a VA card so it wouldn't be worth whatever ridiculous price they want for a license now. Maybe when it expires in 2019 if I'm still around.

JIM, YES. THEY CHARGED ME $1.00 TO PUT THE 'V' FOR VETERAN ON THE DRIVERS LICENCE.  I HAVE SAVED HUNDREDS AT LOWE'S WITH THE 'V'.ON MY DRIVERS LICENCE.

I'M IN FL.

I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT THURS TO TALK WITH THE VA ABOUT A SPECIAL TRIGLYCERIDE MEDICINE THAT THE PHARMACEUTICAL CO'S WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF AND CHARGE YOU 700 FOR A 90 DAY SUPPLY.  THE VA SAID THEY DON'T DISTRIBUTE THAT MED. I'M GOING TO ARGUE THURSDAY

HARRY, WHERE R U?

For all you guys living in Washington state if you don't know they will now add a veteran's designation on your drivers license. You have to go into a DOL office with your DD214. I got mine, it comes in handy for places like Home Depot and Lowes that give vet discounts. I don't have a VA card because I don't get anything from them so this really helps me out.

I am reading FIASCO, by Thomas E. Ricks, on page 121, the 2nd ACR is mentioned, war planners wanted the  Regiment, at least a Squadron because the attaching force lacked depth.  I recall reading the Army Field Manual on THE RED ARMY at Camps Gates, one thing really stood out the Soviet Army believed in attack in depth, a somewhat sobering thought in the med 1960's.
