Ernie, I went to the Heidelburg house also in Fort Lauderdale. Better entertainment there, however; the food is great by Checkers old Munchen. And he loves the GI's that were stationed in Bavaria, and our waitress last time was from Nurenburg.(Too young to remember Merrill Barracks.

Happy new year to one and all, hopefully the next year wont go buy as fast as this one did. Seems like it was not long ago everyone was worried about what would happen when the year 2000  rolled around and now its 2018 already man time sure is flying by.

Harold you piqued my interest. Be in FLA (Stuart) after the New Year, next time I'm near Ft. Laud, I'm going to "check" out Checkers. My Mom was from Deutschland and could cook a mean Sauerbraten, so I will let you know how it is.  Dave, she rarely made the pig Knuckles, think that is more of southern German dish, Mom was from Koln.

Happy New Year and God Bless you all in 2018!

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
