Well Troopers made it back from Greece. Dave they tried to get me to enlist but once they saw my legs they said I was to ugly and nasty looking for one of those fancy skirts they wear. We had a great trip.  When we got to Frankfurt for our over night stay we wanted to get some good German food. The only place near where we were staying was closed because it was Sunday. Ended up getting a high priced only fair schnitzel at the hotel. Now I'm back to work already.

Sig, I looked up Sam Smolkin,  He lives in Hollywood FL, about 45 minutes south of me.  No info on him except he went in in 59.  I left in 59.  Mike R might know him.  Has anyone heard from mike?

Wish we knew what is going on with Wayne so we can act accordingly.

Good Monday Morning to everyone!

Happy Birthday to Wayne Dixon. Hope all is well with him.

Harold, keeping you in our thoughts and prayers as you recover.

We'll take the the camper in on the 15th to get the Landing Gear Motor evaluated and see what it will take to get it repaired. May have to stay with the In-laws for a couple of days while it's in the shop.

On Saturday, the wife and I went to a party, given by one of the members of her dance troupe. I had been told that the husband was former Cavalry, but not which unit. When we met him, it turns out that he was a former CO of K Troop, when the Regiment was at Fort Polk. His name is Raymond (Ray) C. Vindell III.

Not sure of his rank, when at K Troop, but he retired as a LTC.

I do hope that all are doing well. Enjoy the day, take care ... ..

Toujours Pret!

Take care of yourself Harold. Lots of rest and avoid excitement.

Thank you for your prayers, they are 100% needed and welcome.  While I was typing yesterday a slight speech attack came on and I didn't finish my thought.

A stroke is a lot scarier than a heart attack.  Thank God my brain was not effected.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
