I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.

Opie, I'm sure John would have appreciated a goat or two. Nice touch!

I'm thinking that the problems here are not unique to this site. I think it's a .ning thing. It's possible other sites are having issues too. We have had occasions where the entire site was down. The fact that we can still post comments is good. If they are undergoing maintenance at .ning, we may get back to normal. Whatever THAT is. :)

Another thing I noticed is that when I click on the more tab at the bottom of the latest activity it will not show any more activity, and it is not showing me when any body else is on site, that little window at the bottom right side of the page is always blank now.

Good morning troops on this fine sunny ( for the time being ) Sunday morn, usually out to church by now but this cold has me staying home so as I won't affect the other old folk ( course that leaves y'all out ) got my best friend visiting later in the day from Utah, said he didn't care I was sick, he was still coming, that's a true friend. Missed Duel #1 & 2 Friday and now with company will probably miss a big chunk of the Daytona 500, not a good way to start the season. Heard from Shannon up north and he's ok but getting a more severe weather as we get the rain we have missed in the last 8 years. It's supposed to start raining aging this afternoon around ! PM. lot's of road damage down here in the surrounding mountains. This storm is supposed to be lighter but dropping the snow level to around 2000 ft, that's pretty low as we are about 1500 ft. Seen snow here once in 16 years we've been here but the valley sure looks purty with the surrounding mountains all capped in white. Y'all have a good day and try to stay dry and keep the sunny side up.

Dennis, glad you made it back OK. Sorry for your loss. Despite all the hitches, it sounds like you still had a good trip. Too bad Mr. Boyd was a no-show. Jeez, couldn't even make it to his own funeral. Typical!!!! Got myself banned for life from Face-Crook and I haven't got a clue why. They deleted everything I have ever posted over the years like I never existed, including nearly 1400 individual tributes to fallen 2d Dragoons....GONE!!! I'm crushed....

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
