I have a sense you’d be a good neighbor even if there was no hootch involved.

Did a walk around and didn't see any damage. Few mailboxes blown open including mine.

Neighbor to the south is in Arizona for the winter so I closed his mailbox and trash bin which had blown open, and picked up all the tree limbs in his driveway, yard and carport. Gotta take care of him because he gives me a half-gallon of whiskey to keep an eye on his place whenever he goes somewhere. He's well into his 80's and drags a big 5th-wheel down south every winter. His wife passed two years ago from cancer so he is going solo now. Been my neighbor for 60 years now.

Neighbor behind me is building a two-story shed and just had the roof tar papered without shingles on it yet. Paper got pretty shredded. Other than that, all is good that I can see.

I don't mind rain or snow, but wind really scares me.  I guess because you can't see it, just the damage it causes.  Fortunately we have no exposed wiring in our neighborhood. Everything is underground. Buy every once in awhile lightning hits a transformer out on the main road and the power goes out.

Not much sleep last night. Woke up about midnight to the sound of howling wind. Waiting for daylight to look for damage. 300,000 people in the Puget Sound area without power but thankfully we aren't among them. Got about an inch of rain overnight too, but it has quit for now. Lots more coming for the rest of the week.

Didn't see him, Harold. Sorry to hear about your sister and B-I-L. Hope they heal quickly with no long lasting effects.

Wish I could Sig. Yesterday was a real soaker, but today is even worse. Supposed to get 1" to 4" depending on where you are, and a few feet of snow in the mountains. The webs between my toes are starting to show again!

Did anyone see that bearded guy interviewed on ABC NEWS last night.  He was wearing his Cavalry Stetson with 2 over the cross swords.  "I don't believe in the covid 19" end of interview..  Meanwhile my sister and brother in law both got it.  he in the hospital for 45 days.

Good morning Dave could you possibly send some of that wet weather down our way, we could surely use it, so far this year we have only had 2 rain events, so it's been a dry winter for us ! Temps this AM 33deg going up to the low 70's!

Thanks Sig. Glad things are going well in So Cal.

Nice and frosty here this morning and a bit of a frozen fog just as the sun was coming up. One of the few times it hasn't been raining in several days. I guess the drought is over and now we are getting a good soaking. Been unusually dry here the past few years but now we are getting a little river flooding and some landslides the past several weeks. A one-day break now and then before the next front moves in, but those clear days are always really cold, in the 20's and 30's. Other days in the low 40's with a rare 50. Been very blustery a lot too, and sometimes just downright windy as hell. But now it is partially cloudy with some early sun peaking over the hills.
