Sig,
We had our Veterans Day Program 11/11 and I did something this year very different this year. A woman told the story of her husband getting shot up in Vietnam and later dying of Agent Orange. As she left the stage she hollored, "I wish I could bring him home."
Lights go out and spot goes on a girl from the HS Glee Club and she sings, "Bring him home" from Les Miz
I now have 6 American flags, 5 unit flags, 1 MIA_POW flag, a 6 squad HS ROTC,
2 MC's, 4 ushers,- last yrs pic

Very nice, Sig. Is your wife a Jersey girl?
My sweetie and I at the Lakes at Hemet West Veterans brunch and me carrying the Army Flag in to post and salute colors Friday 11/11/22
Just got an e-mail from Gene Gunia. Last week he lost his wife, Alice. They had been together 61 years.
I'm sure he could use a little support from his Dragoon Base family, as the quiet at his house is really getting to him.

Well Sig, we finally got some rain too, and along with it some breathable air. For quite some time we had some of the worst air in the world from all the wildfires in the area. Couldn't even work outside and it looked like an eerie fog all the time. Made for some colorful sunrises and sunsets though!
Now it is just wet most of the time, like Washington should be. Most of the fires are out or getting under control. Yesterday only got up to 50 degrees, with daytime highs in the 40's the rest of this week, and some of the morning temps are in the 30's. In Olympia, south of me about 45 minutes, it was 28 degrees this morning. Won't be long for winter to hit.
Got some rain and cooling weather a few times in Oct. and it gave my grape tomayo's ahead start on a second crop. Nov 2, this AMin the wee hours, more rain so I don't have to go out this AM and water. Picked up a 2nd Golf Cart to clean up and re sell. Life is good here in the Lower ( Elev 12500 ft ) desert. Nice weekend visit from my wifes half sister from Cancun. Hope all is well with the troops. hear every now and the from Trooper Robert Wadley who sailed over on the same ship as I in Feb 58. Shannon, fall has finally arived at the end of October, now cool mornings in the 50's and warmer 70's/80's during the late afternoon. Nice !
We aim to please at the Dragoon Saloon, Brother!
This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
