Not sure what you mean about the reunion, Harry.

I cheated Harry. Hahahahaha!!!!! You said go back and look at page 1, so I did. And then 2, and 3.....

Yeah Shannon, it sucks when you put years of your life into something, and then with a flip of a switch it's all gone like it never existed. Nothing left but fading memories....

Dave, how in the hell did you ever remember that?

Let's see those goosebumps Harry!

Harry....to sing or chant exultantly he chortled in his joy —

That's all I got, Harry. I know what you are talking about but I'm drawing a blank. Chortle was all I could come up with.

It's been a pretty good run. Add in all the years the original Dragoon Base was around I'm thinking 25 years or better.

My wife has a facebook account and she is registered with Pond barracks under her first name I do go on there occasionally and look around there are friends on those sites from Dragoon Base. I just really do not want a facebook page hopefully we could get something else started again but that is going to take someone a lot more tech savvy than me. That being said it will be a sad day when this base shuts down for good but perhaps it may live again in another platform. It's always a sad thing when history is lost especially when you are a part of it.

This June would have marked 12 years for Oldtimers.  Wayne Dixon, Jesse Kelly, Jim Burgos, John Boyd, Sig, “keeper of the cellar” Dave Gettman, and so many others who have walked through those swinging doors of the Dragoon Saloon. Some stayed long after the others had traveled on, enjoying the warmth of the potbelly stove.  We lost a few dear friends but they’re keeping the beer chilled on Fiddlers Green.  Dave had a word for what we used to sound like but I can't think of what it was, but I invite all to turn back to page “1” and see what it was like when we were young.

Dave, have you given any thought yet as to how you’re going to stay current with the reunion?

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
