Good morning brothers, up at 0600, 36 deg outside, coldest morning yet, house was 62 deg inside, brrr, chili, now 0700 and I've got my hot cocoa in hand the heaters been running and all's well in the lower So. Cal. desert while fires consume a great portion of the state, prayers go out to the town of Paradise up north and to the towns affected by the fires in the Malibu and surrounding area. Air quality is very good here but not in those area's. And speaking of fires, Black Mountain Lookout Tower closed down last Sunday for the season. I retired back in August after working for 6 years. The road ( if'n you can call it that ) up there got so bad it was beating my body up, getting up in years you know. But from now to the end of the year our family calendar is full. Enjoy your Tuesday, catch up to you later !

dave,at  least 95% or more of us "c" co. were 2 year draftees and we were together from basic to discharge..as a result we became like family having not only former ncos but officers that retired as col's coming to our reunions.is that something or what? last year was the first time in about 50 years that we didn't have the reunion because as it"s said eventually all good things come to an end. so many of our members have passed away and some  are not just able to travel anymore.all I can say it has been a hellova run and it all started with the 2nd cav

Sig, glad that you are O K.

We just came from our Veterans Day Program.  We had 27 vets from the VA and a fabulous speaker from them.

My movie was great.  I never received so much applause, and they laughed and cried.

I hope I can get it on you tube for you guys to see.

Gene, I didn't know either one.  I was advanced party Dec 1957, and did TDY with the 3rd ACR till April when the 2nd  came over.  I Interacted the Battalions on the Radio, and those guys for the most part, I went to Radio school with them  in Ft. Dix.  I left Germany, I believe, Feb 28, 59 by boat and went through two storms 14 days to get to Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Stay safe.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
