Man that 50cal was heavy I had a great crew so we did not pull that shit.
I had to run down to the track park pull the tarp off and fire the old bitch up and most likely slave start one or two tracks off then I would pull in front of the barracks through all our ta/50 on borde an go

It took SSG Lewis 14 years to make E-7(wonder why) he was promoted on a day that he had physically assaulted a guy in Survey Section during Morning Formation. He would always volunteer my guys to help the CO,leaving me to get all the gear to the Track and then showing up all nice and toasty in a Maintenance Vehicle, after sitting in the Motor Pool, drinking hot coffee. James B- I'm gonna have to find one, of those shirts!

Steve-O, saw a great tee shirt at a Phoenix gun show two months ago. On the front of the tee shirt there was an M-16. Underneath read the caption : " when elections fail, vote from the rooftops ". Price, $15. I spent the $15 on more ammo.

In Graf we were going out on a Live Fire exercise and my Trac commander Sgt Lewis was nowhere to be found when we got blown out. So I had to sign for the CEOI's,Binocs, the Ma Deuce,my own weapon and carry those and my gear to the track park about 1/4 mile away. When I get there the padlock to the hatch is frozen solid and won't open, and its freezing out there.I wrapped paper around the lock and set it on fire to thaw it out,it took several tries before it would work.Shortly after I got it open SSG Lewis finally shows up with the rest of my crew(Inside the Heated Maintanence Truck),whom he had shanghaied to help the CO load his gear up,and starts hammering on me for not having the track ready for inspection. I pretty much ignored him until he started cussin' at me but when he pushed me-that was it! I jumped right back at him and told him if he could carry 300 lbs of shit and do my job-do -I'll brown-nose the Captain and ride in the nice warm truck!

Does anyone have an old "bloop gun" (M 79 ) laying around ?? How about good old " Ma deuce " but, come to think about it, it would take four of us old farts to carry it !

LOL, this thread makes me chuckle. I can see you all sitting around a big table in a local diner, drinking coffee and bitching about politicians. Keep up the good fight guys, this country needs it.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
