Heck, even as a grown up, I loved Rocky they flying squirrel ! Just about everything in those cartoons had a double meaning. Your kids could watch it and laugh, I watched it and thought " how the hell can they get away with that ? " " Jewish " accents were prevalent , Russian spies were kind of cool, and all stereotypes were savagely lampooned ! Who were " Sydney and Cloyd " ???

Wow, I'm stunned.

Better have some beer and football to recover.

You da man, Dave. It was a marshmellow looking creature that was edible, tastes like chicken, I think. Very versatile.

Dave, ya got me ! F Troop ! The Heckahwee Tribe. " Where the heck ah we ? " Naturally, we boys called it something else, you can guess. I loved " the Rebel " with Nick Adams as the Confederate Trooper who carried a SAWED OFF 10 Ga. SHOTGUN ! KA BLOOWIE !

I think that many of us spent too much time watching TV. The 50's were , to us, soooooo cool. Rin Tin Tin ( Cavalry ! ) , Captain Gallant ( Foreign Legion ), Fury, Lassie, Captain Midnight, Commander Cody ( rocketman ) and many, many more. Things were so EASY when we were kids, kinda miss it. On second thought, BIER is more fun !

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
