Figured it was about time I changed the song of the day. RIP LEON REDBONE.

Good shot placement, Dave. Right behind the shoulder. How did he taste ??

Yup, that's me years ago when I could still hump the hills. Legs and lungs are both gone.

Only elk I ever got. Shot it with a 90lb rated cedar arrow off an 83lb Golden Eagle compound at 11 yards right on the side of a skidder road. Went clean through both lungs and the heart, and he only made it about 25 yards off the road before he dropped dead flat on his back with his horns completely buried in the ground. I was a 5 minute walk from camp straight down the road from our trailer on the last day of the season.

Been hunting with a compound bow since back in the 1970's. My brother Ken was the President of Washington State Bowhunters Association many years ago.

Dave, have you thought about modern BOWS ? Ted Nugent, the Texas Conservative, hunts javalinas with a bow and arrow. Crimeny sakes, those piggies are deadly and I would want an M-1 to take one of those on !

Hey James,
Just hangin' out stayin' busy with 2d Cavalry projects.

Real tempted to buy another pellet gun and start tuning up MF's around my AO again! I'm gettin' real PO'd.

A gal just spent a few days painting a large mural for our neighborhood on a cinderblock wall two houses down from me. Somebody spray painted it the day she finished! This is the same wall I lost my gun rights over.

Been eyeballing a .177 cal pellet gun that puts 'em down range at 1600fps. Just gotta get someone to buy it for me and then not get caught with it.

Dave Gettman, where are You ? Been a while , Dave. Hope you are OK. Damn, I would kill for a chance to look through your Dad's trunk full of old pistols. Remember what it was like before 1963 ?? Ye Olde Hunter, Kliens, etc. Just thinking about those ads " sends a tingle up my leg "... Webly .455 revolver $ 10 , Finnish Lahti's, Cal. 9mm. Luger, $15. Oh boy, oh boy, Colt Govt. , 45 ACP 1911. $ 20 ! If I had my money then and my youth NOW I would be happy indeed .

A COUNTRY WITHOUT BORDERS IS NOT A COUNTRY.

Tucson radio station 104.1 ( the Truth) in Tucson reported Monday : all Tucson area Police officers were urged to stay out of the Desert when off duty for fear of snipers. " Our border has never been more secure. " Janet Napolitano, head of the KGB ( ooops ) I meant DHS.
