Dave,  That Anniversary Book on page 2 about 3/4 down is 1Lt Robert M. Rose.  He was sent to Germany instead of Korea and served  as a LnO in the 1st Battalion.  He told me it was on the Rock at Bindlach.  In 1966 he was a LTC and Commanded the 1st Squadron at the Rock.  He was an Outstanding Commander.

I was entered on the rolls os the 'Honorary Squadron Second United States Dragoons' on the 15th of November 1966 by Colonel James P. Cahill at Nurenberg, Germany.  I am on page 14.  This honor sits side by side with the Border Tour Certificate for Hof, Coberg, Kronach and Camp Gates.

"Entered on the rolls of The Honorary Squadron, Second Dragoons Regiment" by the 71st Colonel of the Regiment Col. Terry Wolff, December 2000.  My certificate is mounted on the wall of my office above my Border Certificate from 1976.  Two of my more prized wall hangings.  Got to assist in inducting many members in the Reed Museum at Fort Polk.  The bar was always set high for selection.  Not every nomination turned in was approved.  The histroy that is held in that book is the history of our Army, Regiment and Country since the Constabulary Period after WWII.  Salutations to all members.  Always Ready.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
