Yeah, no way Harry. I'm good for an hour or two in a car, then I'm done.

Thanks, Dave.  I don't think I could do what he's doing, even when I was younger.

Harry, I talked to Shannon on the phone several days ago when he was going through Albuquerque but nothing since. Linda has been posting on Facebook regularly so nothing bad has happened. They celebrated their 6th anniversary the other day.

The funeral for Major Augie Gonzalez today in Jersey City. Augie a decorated Ranger, was traveling to his new command in Colorado from NC when he collided with some fool tow truck stopped in left lane. He was killed along with his two beautiful daughters age 6 and 2. His son 8, also in the car survived. Augie's beautiful wife Melissa was traveling by plane at the time with their new born baby son. She was to meet her husband in CO but instead was met by an Army Chaplin that had to deliver the sad news. My wife and I are friends of Melissa's parents. A go fund me page has been set up to help the family. Major Augie Gonzalez was the real deal, committed to service of country and others. There was not a dry eye in the Church when they brought the 3 coffins into St Aedans Church, his and 2 white little ones.

It was cool to see their Stetson's getting "broken" in. Good to see the Cav spirit lives on.

Sig, you look great. I don't think I could wear the hat being the only cavalry soldier in my community.

Can I assume Chuck Was a Cavalryman also?

Isn't it great to be involved with these programs? Without them, retirement wouldn't be as exciting. It is great being able to still make a contribution to Society. Thank you for continuing your service.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
