Dragoon Base

Connecting the Troopers of Today with the Veterans of Yesterday.

Show your support of the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment by joining the 2d Cavalry Association.

Your dues directly assist the Soldiers and veterans of the Regiment and their families through numerous projects including: an annual scholarship program, the Wounded Warrior program, the recently completed OIF Memorial, awards programs, the Reed Museum, the Thoroughbred newsletter, the Association History Center and News Center, the bi-annual Association Reunion, and dozens of other projects too numerous to list.

We were the first, and we are the oldest, unit specific veterans organization in the United States, established in 1899 by the Regiment's Spanish-American War veterans to support the active Regiment, preserve its rich history, and unite the Soldier and the veteran. The Association cannot continue without the support of those fine troopers that call themselves DRAGOONS.

Colonels of the Regiment

9th Colonel of the Regiment David R. Clendenin 29 Oct 1888 – 2 Apr 1891

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
