cool, I remember those trucks well
That picture was posted by Joseph Stegman, he was a 63F our recovery specialist and mechanic, M88 operator. we were With M Company 3rd squadron. he was in HQ Plt. That's most likely where that picture is from around 1978 t0 81.
Hmmm, is that a M813 5 Ton? what unit was that assigned too? I was in HHT 76-79 Trans plt....

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
