Connecting the Troopers of Today with the Veterans of Yesterday.

Here is a photo for you.
Morning Alex. So good to connect with you. Never thought I would ever have a fb page, but since I found Dragoon Base, and saw who was here, I ended up getting one. Phil Benson was the one that got me on to it. There are a few fb groups that I have become involved with. One of them, I am an admin of. It started out for just those at Pond Barracks, but it grew to include all of the 2ACR and then to those that served in Germany during the Cold War. I see you are looking to make contact with Steve Vigil and Thomas Renn. They are both on the Pond Barracks page. No luck finding Noaks as of yet. If you decide to get a page, let me know. I will get you into the groups that I belong to. One is strictly for anyone who served with Mighty Mike. That group has less than 100 members while the Pond is just over 1000. So good to make contact after so many years. I have actually met up with Stewart Smith a couple of times. He was the XO when I left. I have your number. Will try to give you a call later today or sometime soon. Got to catch up.
I left a note for Joe Brindley also.
Oh yes, I know Rick Martin. He recently got a new leg.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
