Tell us a little about you now.
I am an award winning author for my book series on the Cold War, "We Were Soldiers Too" that tells the history of the Cold War through the careers of the veterans who served during this critical time in history. Three books are published and four and five should be out by the end of the year. Book six will be Called, We Were Soldiers Too; Guarding the Iron Curtain and feature mostly Cavalry personnel over the years

Colonels of the Regiment

9th Colonel of the Regiment David R. Clendenin 29 Oct 1888 – 2 Apr 1891



This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
