Will be seeing Scott next week, I sent him the link to this place as soon as I found it. It is wild seeing some of the people here. I am in Southern Cal these days, been hear for 30+ years, have been with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Dept for the last 15. Shooting to retire in about 3 years, cannot wait. If things keep going the way they are hear in the states I might join you in Canada. Take care and keep in touch.

I left the Army in 1982. After Bindlach I went to Ft. Knox for about a year in school and then to Ft. Rucker to flight school and Cobra transition. From there to Ft. Riley for a couple of years and finally to Ft. Polk. Except for the schools all my time was in Cav units. After I left the Army I moved to the Kansas City area and worked for Macy's as an Operations Manager for a year and then went to Hallmark Cards for eighteen years inn Manufacturing, Human Resources, and I/T. Retired form Hallmark in 2001, but went to work for UMB Bank in Human Resources until I retired again in 2007. Married in 1981, but no kids.

towards the last of my tour i did want out. i wanted to get back to my motorcyles in the states and do some traveling. but after a couple of stateside assignments i realized that we had a good unit. now i get to ride whenever i want. i have my own company and i work when i want. would of probably stayed in the army longer but my wife passed away in 1988 and i had 2 small children that i didnt want to drag around the world so i chose to get out at 20. how about you have any kids? butch

Hey Brian!

Do you still have that French flag that you boosted from the French Kaserne on Reforger? I remember you had it on the wall of your room in the C Troop barracks. You never would tell me the story behind it though. So what have you been up to since the mid-seventies?

2d DRAGOONS

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
