Enjoy

Oh shit. I just clued into Smiley. I pulled CQ with him one time and he regaled me with stories about "low-trawling through the grungle" in Panama. Then he wanted to know if I could cover down while he went home to his quarters so that he could help "trecorate d' grismas gree." After the fifth time I asked him to say again he started to get pretty pissed. I finally got that he wanted to skip out for an hour so he could help his family decorate the tree. The boy got his bell rung one too many times in the ring.

Yeah, it was too good to pass up. I think it was the really bad polyester suit he had on that just sent me over the top.

Chris, I beat myself up alot even before my stint in 2nd ACR. I guess I pissed off alotta NCO's at my Branch and they thought it would be my downfalling.
I had a L4/L5 compression fracture of my lower back, two blown knees and a well worn right hip. Early days in '77~'79 as a Airbourne Recon. I didn't show it then. Ran with the Big Dawgs.
I made it to another tour in S. Korea supportin JUSMAAG-K ROK and US SF units...Da Real Shit. Finally I got tired and settled down after I retired in '95.
Anyhow I picked a place that I loved, raised my girls and my Son.
Not too shabby for a 5'6 RedHeaded German.

Toujours Pret Christopher,

Welcome home Troop.
The DragoonBase here at Ning.com, has
plenty of updated features
(similar to MySpace), lots of sub-groups,
(Officers Club,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc),
and links for “2nd Cavalry Assn.”
News and History Centers.

Robb Russell has posted some tips for
navigating the site(ie,photos,links,ect)
in the Forum.

Please feel free to stop by and read the
latest “Tacoma Dave's ‘Triva Quiz’”,
you can learn some 2nd Cav history,
and you could even, win a kool prize.

If you need any help, you may contact
Robb Russell, or any of the 5 admins listed
at the top of the page, or just yell out,
another member may be able to help you.

And our only wish is to,
‘Keep it clean’.
Use your real name and picture,
(pix from back in the day, work best
for searching for Brothers),
but any picture will do.

And that you please tell all your friends
about, where to find the DragoonBase.

Thanks again for joining Dragoon Base,
and for your Service and Dedication,
to Our Great Country.
