After 2d Cav, various assignments, including Univ. of Tennessee and Oak Ridge National Lab for MS and PhD degrees. Assigned Medical R&D CMD. Retired in grade LTC at Presidio of San Francisco, July 1, 1971. Since 1973 in the Memphis area, including nine years as SCUBA instructor at The Dive Shop.

My dad, then CWO2 Henry Gettman, was Motors Officer with Hq & Hq Co, 1st Battalion, in Bindlach from 1953-55.
