Hello, my name is Gary Rinker. I was in A Troop, 1st of the 2nd. from Dec. 1973 to Feb. 1976. I was a Radar Operator at both Gates and Pittman. I didn't know you, but it's still good to hear about people I still think of as friends. I hope you are well. Gary
Hello Ed. This is Mark Atterson!! How have you been my old friend? It has been almost 40-years brother. I looked at the pictures you have posted. I will be posting some of us and what I have of the 2nd ACR 'daze!' I hope to hear from you soon.
Hate to hear about the stroke. I am in reasonably good health except for my memory, My short term memory is truly short term. You do have some photos og Gates. I remember the one story buildings. I spent more time at Pittman than Gates for whatever reason. The German Barracks were across the road from the Pittman main gate. Those were my best memories, and even though I didn't realize it at the time, the best years of my life. Pathetic, but true.
Edward, photos you have are at Camp Pittman, Brother. Gates was out in the woods. Great photos.
Welcome back to Sanford... it's changed

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
