What MOS or job description did you have?: 19E/K Tank Gunner, Tank Commander, Platoon Sergeant

Tell us a little about your cav days.: Remember reporting just before Thanksgiving 1982, inprocessed into the unit, went to Camp Gates, rolled out to a FTX if I recall called ‘CAPSTONE’, back to the Rock for a couple of weeks then back to Camp Gates. That was the first month.

The guys I hung with, my crew, Andy Cooper, Carlos Valasquez, Jim Terry; Border Ops Gang, Dave Roe, Mike Elieff, Stanley Hayes, Mark Bess; Platoon buddies, Mike Thrasher, ‘Pat’ Patterson, Chris Rankin, Steve Waytko, Chuck Fuss, the list goes on.

Tell us a little about you now.: Retired from the Army in 1998. I work at local newspaper/printing company
