"The Ground radar was used during the Cuban missile time. We ran ours out of Kronach.You went out one hour after dark and came back one hour before daylight."

SPENT MOST OF TIME AT BINBLACH-WAS ON BORDER AT KRONACH DURING CUBAN DEAL WE WENT OUT AT DARK AND BACK BEFORE DAY LIGHT WE RAN A LISTENING POST ON BORER. WAS LOADER-DRIVER ON M48,M60 .M113 .21/2 TON AND JEEP.WAS ON U/P

John, yes, I was able to track him down and have talked with him on the phone a few times. He was not happy with his time in the army and just hung around on base after I left in 64.

Welcome Back John, I was there at the same time, D Troop Maint, I drove the M-113 then took over the M-88. The last name kind of rings a bell. :)
