Where were you stationed?: Bamberg

What MOS or job description did you have?: 11C mortars, border patrol driver.

What was your rank/title?: E1-SP4(P), FDC, gunner

What years were you assigned to the 2nd Cavalry?: 1983-1985

Tell us a little about your cav days.: 2 of the best years of my life. would do it all over again in a heartbeat! 75 patrols, 10K miles on the border (Hof, Sans Salliet, Burg Grub, Hoelle (Hell), Ghost autobhan, GAKs, BPs, beautiful German girls, on patrol with AK47's and driving the east german border guards nuts , plus all the other antics we pulled at the border! Bamberg: King's Inn, Mau keller's, Le Marquis. Good times had with Peter Bohlen, Peter Sisung, Scott Leggett, Steve Fox, Jim Barney and Tim Loretan. I remember Zawicki from BOC Hof. Oh and BEER! 2/2 ZOOO!!

Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the new Base has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F-Trp,Amberg,Medics,etc.) and links for 2nd Cav News and History.
Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site (ie,photos,links,ect) in the Forum.
Make sure you stop by and read the latest Tacoma Dave ‘Triva Quiz’, learn some 2nd Cav history and you can even win a kool prize.
If you need any help, you can contact Robb, or any of the 5 admins listed at the top of the page, or just yell out, another member may be able to help you.
