Tell us a little about your cav days.
Served with B Trp 1/2 ACR 1978/79. Transferred to Regt HQ, Air Troop, as an Aero Scout by order of COL Robert Wagner (Dueler Six) in 1979. Rejoined the Regiment in 1994 at Ft Polk as 1SG of Fox Troop 2nd Sqdn, took them to Haiti and back, in 1995. Moved to the S-2 Section in 1996, stayed there until Retirement in May 1998.

Retired from second career as a computer network tech, still working, now for AAFES Fort Knox.

Colonels of the Regiment

9th Colonel of the Regiment David R. Clendenin 29 Oct 1888 – 2 Apr 1891



This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
