Hello Joseph, thank you for writing and congratulations on your retirement. Yes, I was a DS in 1977 with A-18-4 - 1st Plt. DS. Blue, DS Ankrom and myself. DS Click was my Senior Instructor at the DS Academy in 1976, he was one tough "Mother F_ _ k". I retired in 1993 as a MSG also. I was with C Trp. from 1980 to 1982 then with HQs 2 ACR as the Border Opns. NCOIC 1982 to 1983.
Here is my regular E-mail address: rvpsabot@comcast.net. I live in Virginia now. Take care and GOD Bless...Rafael

Welcome to Dragoon Base, Joe.

Didn't get to see much of Radcliff the only time I was in the area. Took basic training at Ft Campbell and Advanced Individual Training at Ft Knox in the winter and spring of 1972. Have to admit they aren't among my fondest memories, but that brief period had a major impact on the rest of my life.

2d DRAGOONS

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
