Looking for Civil War History of the Regiment

Hey all, I am writing. Paper about the Regiment during (little before, during, and a little after) and I need some help finding some sources to read.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. (PDF’s, book titles, authors, that sort of thing.)  I live in Germany so digital stuff is best if i can get it, but I have a few weeks so I may have time to find/buy a physical copy from somewhere. This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
