Brownie! Dude, I'm NEVER on this site anymore...that's a shame, but life goes on and time on the Rock has a way of standing still like a dated movie, unless of course you're planning on seeing old friends, then I find myself immersed in 1985 as if I was in BDU's! Yes, the reunion was one of the best times EVER and I was really bummed when this year's was canceled. I gotta admit that at some time during the reunion Mesmer & I were trying to nail down just who was the most drunk Bravo Bull, I think I get high mention because Lance Fisher had told Pete Salerno that he was amazed that I was still alive & my vote went to Rory "Snake" Voltin because I know I had heard at least three different stories that he had died, but Mesmer was adamant that you were DEDICATED to the art of drinking!!! Anyway, it's great to hear that another Bravo Bull is still out there and kicking!

Our first field problem was reforger 85 I think, well anyway it was so cold and Jim Burden and I set up a tent and Sgt Smiley was showing us how to start the pot belly stove. We fell alseep and woke up the next morning freezing and everyting in the tent was frozen including our boots. We heard what sounded like an engine so we put on our frozen boots and walked outside to see smoke comming from the heater vent on the M106. Sgt Smiley gave up on the pot belly stove and ended up sleeping in the track with the heater on all night.

So I get my first appointment down at the Roseburg VA here in OR after I retired. Get down there and see the wall to wall 60 year old VietNam vets strapped into their wheelchairs because they're 350 pounds, diabetic and missing all sorts of body parts. Figured I should probably keep on running. Congrats on being the other skinny guy. Ain't many of us. Cheers

Colonels of the Regiment

8th Colonel of the Regiment Nelson B. Sweitzer 9 Jun 1886 – 29 Oct 1888

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
