This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.

speakin of quarts of schlitz,
I'd like to have one now.
anyone?
Hey, I think I went to Basic with David Boyden,
Izzat possible - july '69
Boyden had the bottom bunk,
and I, "Boyd" had the top.
He was from an upper-middle class
family and showed me pics of his
recent hs graduation and all of this buds c
chuggin quarts of schlitz.
I always wondered if there was an F Troop,
like the old tv show.
now I know.
I think life between conflicts would have been a lot of painting rocks,
polishing fire extinguishers and maybe even sweeping the dust in
Graf. Hohenfels probably got a proper paint job and shine up.
who knows.I would have 40 years in this july.
I got out cause I wanted out to participate in what was going on in the greater of society
in 1972- I was 20 y/o.
they gave me a brand new m113 to drive, after the officers club, it was a cool "sit down" job. I probably could have spent more time in Amberg, maybe another tour.
I was born in Fuerth, so ... who knows ... hmmm ...
Welcome to the new DragoonBase, the site has plenty of newer features, lots of sub-groups,(ie,F Trp,Amberg,CampHof,etc.) and links for History. Robb Russell has posted some tips for navigating the site(ie,photos, ect) in the Forum. And his only wish that ‘We keep it clean’, and you tell all your friends about the new DragoonBase.
Thanks Again for joining,
Jesse Kelley
