Pip Mckenzie, you represent your father Garnet Mckenzie, who was TC during cat 79. I organised the Duttch CAT reunion and exhibition in 2003 for 40 years CAT. I am now working on CAT WORLDWIDE for 50 years CAT in 2013. I got almost all CAT patches, but am still missing the 1979 M Coy. Can you help me in my quest? Greetings, Rob Kuenen, Captain, Netherlands CIMIC battalion

Hello pep. I got to Amberg around the middle of may of 78 and I think he may of had that carpet in there already I do not remember reading about that in the paper. It was good talking to your dad the other day he sounds good. I hope he and your mom are enjoying retirement. Somewhere I have some more pictures I have a good one of your dad in the hatch of our tank it was so cold out that day as many of those days were.I will try to find them and post them with my other pictures. The more I read on this site the more memories are coming back. Ambeg was along time ago I was only 19 when I got there, Mac was 38 if my math is correct I am 50 now.Ask your dad what our tanks number was Pep. I think it was 1-2 but I can not remember thanks Shannon .......

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
