Thanks for posting those photos. I was in 1st platoon starting in spring of 77, i remember sgt Diamond well. He was respected by every one in B troop. You and I never got to know each other but after seeing your picture I recognize you. Also many of the guys that you have pictures of. Thanks again.
It was so good to talk to you today after so many years. Love the pictures you got I will have to see if I can find mine. Mike Szot remember him well now short stocky guy and was a good guy. Yea, we did good after all in that tank gunnery if you think about it like that.
I am the guy from 2nd Platoon mortars who joined B-24. If I recall we did a couple of Grafs together, one was during on-season gunnery. It is sure good to hear from you after all these years. As I recall you came over from 3rd Platoon to 2nd Platoon. In retrospect those years on the Rock were good times. I left the Rock in January 1979 and PCS'd to Fort Lewis WA (2/60 Inf - mech, 9th ID). I ETS'd Feb 1980 - was it that damn long ago?
Afterward I majored in Geological Engineering at the U 0f A. I currently live in Phoenix, AZ. My wife and I are getting ready to send a son to college next Fall, and I have a daughter in HS (Sophomore).
Just to toss out a few names from B-Troop, remember these guys?: Paul Hutchinson (reuped for the rangers, later became an Apache pilot and flew in Desert Storm - lost track of hime in the late 80s), Keith Featherston, Dan Edens, Arlen Wiesheit (SP?), Top Ducote, Ron Clem, Foreman, Ash to name a few. I will have to jog the memory cells for more.
I will have to put up some photos. In the meantime good to hear from you!
