Served as Turret Section Leader then moved to S-1 as courrier and CSM Smiths driver/ LTC Lyle's Driver. Was Med-Evac back to states. Some friends Rodabaugh, Chandlier, Tranchita,many others
When I was medevc to Fort Sam Houston for 4.5 months and the assigned to the 705 th HEM at Fort Polk. attempted to get reassigned to the 2/2 which had been relocated to polk, ETS 1981

Own an Electrical / Solar Energy Constuction business. Doing Government Contracts along the gulf coast.

Sure, I remember; dual-tex camo, what a pain to paint. the XO helped to invent the stuff while at West Point too. Even the "Bull" hated the paint jobs. I talked to our ex Squadron XO a couple of years ago. He retired a Lt. Colonel; one of the few officers in our Squadron hierarchy who didn't go on to make General.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
