This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.

SGM(R) Anderson,
Greetings, I'm Dave McDermaid and I served with K Troop, 3/2 ACR from 1990-1992 (I served as the unit supply clerk/armorer with CPL Shay and SPC Perry).
I was curious to know whether or not you may be willing to participate in a project that I am considering: writing a book on the 3/2 ACR Desert Shield/Storm story?
I'm in the initial stages of the idea however, I decided that I should see whether or not unit leaders would be willing to share their experiences with me towards completing the overall story.
I appreciate your time and consideration in the matter, many thanks in advance of your reply.
Very Respectfully,
Dave McDermaid

Went to PA School from Knox in 1993 where I was an Instructor at Cav Weapons (with CPT Haszard, Rader, Mullinex, Happell). PA school opened up to all MOS's when they became commissioned instead of WO's. I am actually the first "non-medic" to complete the course successfully. I consider my 15 years as a scout to have been a paid hobby! SI will stay in touch as my wife and travel a bunch and will get to the northwest at some point. Let me know if you head this way.
Jon
Hey 1SG ! Great to see you doing well. Miss all our conversations and conflicts. We were a damned good bunch and much of the credit goes to you. Thanks again for being a big part of the best unit that I ever was part of.
