I would never give up the memories of being a 2nd Cav soldier with all of the great moments of camaraderie and having the chance to serve my country on the front lines of freedom.

C Troop was on the border when that happened July 25, 1974, but had been replaced at the camps so we could take part in the exercise where that happened.

I hear from George Crump all the time. Met him in Vilseck, Germany 2008 (both of us on the right, George in the back).

I was in C Trp 1974-75, so we probably crossed paths on the Rock.

This was the third design of the 2d Cavalry DUI, worn from 1924-1931. The sharp points on the ends of the bottom scroll again called for a redesign.
